Fingerprint quality

There are two main parameters to capture fingerpints with a good quality. The light source and the image resolution.

• Light source: The Biocapture SDK fingerprint capturing technology is contactless and is working by just using the phones camera. It's quite important to a have good light conditions. Therefore, a flash light at the smartphone is mandatory. The most of current smartphones has a flashlight anyway. It is also important to have less light sources as possible.

• Image resoultion: Based on the used matcher, the fingerprint images require a defined number of dots per inch (DPI). To archive this, the devices have to be precalibrated.
